The summer is here and everyone is trying to escape the wrath of the scorching sun. Our television stars are not behind as they find ways of beating the heat and be cool this hot season.
“No oily food absolutely and drink lots of water. And never ever step out without sunscreen. Eat light and at regular intervals. Drink lots of water, lime juice, watermelon and coconut water. Swimming is great to combat the heat but use tons of moisturiser and sunscreen during and after swimming. Since, hair tends to get oily in this weather, do not use too many products.”
“I love swimming and I think it is the best way to beat the heat and it’s also part of my exercise routine. When I am not shooting I am in shorts, ganji
s, and three-fourths. Curd and lots of coconut water are just perfect. I carry an ice box with me because am crazy about buttermilk. I almost drink two litres everyday and not to forget a good sunscreen lotion is a must.”
“In summer, it's a liquid diet and very light meals for me. I balance my diet with light food, more of salads like cucumber, carrot and beetroot. I keep sipping on lime juice throughout the day. As far as clothes are concerned I would always advise to wear light fabrics like cotton and avoid wearing black and a good sun block is a must for summer.”
“It is important to keep your body hydrated so I consume a lot of water and other liquids. If I am shooting outdoors I keep sipping water from time to time. Of course, if we are shooting in an AC studio then it is not a problem. You won’t believe this but I always run towards my vanity van once the shot is done. I always carry a water bottle, some fruits; I have watermelon as much as possible. I always make it a point to apply sunscreen whenever I move out.”
“The best drink to keep you cool is nimbu paani
. Because of my character’s demand I am always dressed in black but when am not shooting I wear shorts, tracksuits, sometimes I also wear shorts to shoots. I try to wear light colour clothes. I always carry nice cool glares, cap and apply sun block without fail. I would suggest that avoid going out in the sun if possible.”
“Every season has its own flavour so does summer. I have lots of watermelon, lychee
and orange juice, basically fruits rich in water content. I avoid having papaya in summer. I never step out without sun block any time of the year. Summer also gives me an opportunity to wear shorts and cottons as I love wearing shorts. I tie my hair up so that I don’t feel hot.
