Travellers all over the world are mesmerized by the great traveler and explorer, Columbus. His travel tales are interesting as well as inspiring. They have inspired people generation after generation.

So, when the young actors Ritabhari Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakrabarty and Suchandra Vaaniya where asked to name the place where they would like to go on a date with Columbus, they answered interesting answers. 

For the uninitiated, the actors are playing key roles in Saurav Palodhi’s upcoming film Colkata-e Columbus, which is a satirical comedy, where Mir is playing the titular role of Columbus.

Ritabhari Chakraborty: I love travelling. So, the date can take place at any place, where he can narrate all his travel tales to me. I would love to hear all his travel experiences, his discoveries and also about the things that are not available in the books. But I don’t understand why Gaurav will go on a date with Columbus (laughs out loud)!

Gaurav Chakrabarty: Well, I don’t know if I would go on a date with Columbus or not! But if I have to go somewhere then I would love to go back to his time, the 1450s. It would be very exciting to see his period, about which we only read in the books. So, I would like to go back in time.  

Suchandra Vaaniya: Since, at the moment Columbus (referring to Mir’s character in the film), is available in Kolkata, I would like to explore any place of the city with him.
