Telly actors select the Best Shows of 2013

With hardly two weeks remaining for the year 2013 to pass off, we decided to talk to some of your favourite TV celebs and ask them about the shows they liked the most this year.

So as part of our Year Ender series, let’s find out which were the best shows of 2013 according to them.

Mohit Malik: By all means, 24 is the best show of this year! A show with an excellent concept, this Anil Kapoor project on Colors has been adapted from a hit Hollywood show that has been acclaimed a lot.

Raj Singh Arora: The best show that comes to my mind is Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors). I think the show is classy unlike ridiculous people laughing their ass** out on some nonsense jokes. The Kapil show really makes one laugh and is more like the American Saturday Night Live. And yes, I am addicted to Bigg Boss and it’s amazing to see how these sane people fight. Furthermore, I feel 2014-2015 would be the year when the industry will get into making different shows and bring out a radical evolution in the industry. I would also mention Channel V shows and Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

Viraf Phiroz Patel: Amongst the non-fiction shows I would choose Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors) and Ek Boond Ishq (Life OK) amongst the fiction lot. Apart from my show in the fiction genre, I think Mahabharat (Star Plus), Tumhari Paakhi (Life OK), Qubool Hai (Zee TV), Meri Bhabhi (Star Plus) are excellent shows of this year.

Shashank Vyas: I pick Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors). I love watching the show as I think Kapil is a commendable stand-up comedian, well appreciated by both the television industry and Bollywood. This is one show I prefer watching after performing in high voltage scenes in Balika Vadhu (Colors).

Gopi Bhalla: It has to be my show FIR (SAB TV); there is nothing more entertaining than this show which has been a hit since the past 8 years.

Additi Gupta: Being a part of the television industry, I do not think any daily soap has done something for it to be adjudged the best show of 2013. I like watching reality shows among which Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors) takes the cake away. It is the kind of show which I can watch with my family; it puts me into a relaxed state of mind. I specially love watching the show when celebrities visit the sets. It is hilarious to watch them.

Kanchi Kaul: I do not get much time to watch television as I am always busy shooting. The best show of this year would obviously be my show Meri Bhabhi on Star Plus (laughs). Well, I like watching Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors) too; the anchor/producer is funny and entertaining. It’s a special show.

Kratika Sengar: I like Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors).

Chandni Bhagwanani: Life OK’s Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev (Life OK) is one of the best shows I have loved watching in rain or shine. Even if I am shooting for my show (Amita ka Amit), I make sure that I watch the show on YouTube; it’s a gripping tale and I never fail to watch it.

Sukirti Kandpal: I feel Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev (Life OK) is the best show of this year as this is the only show that has a different concept and educates people about the most celebrated Lord in India while most of the others are ones that have been repeated. Mahadev has definitely struck a chord with the audience.
