Mumbai: It was not a long ago that the TV screen witnessed a drastic shift from the melodramatic saas-bahu drama to amateur young chaps dominating the TV audience. Where serials like Balika Vadhu, Uttaran and Gangaa not only broke stereotypes and educated India but it also gave the Indian television fraternity some of its best gems. Child artistes like Avinash Mukherjee, Avika Gor, Spandan Chaturvedi, Ruhana Khanna royally ruled the Indian television screens for quite some time.

This deviation from this unusual saas-bahu dramas initiated reality shows to use their core concepts for the new-age India. Reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs which gathered amazing viewership for Zee TV and Sony TV’s Super Dancer which was listed on the top 10 most-watched shows in 2017 are responsible for generating top entertaining artistes.

With more meaningful plots and entertainment quotient beautifully portrayed by young artistes, Star Plus recently aired two shows- Mariam Khan- Reporting LIVE and Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala.  

Mariam Khan based around a Muslim backdrop, the show revolves around three sisters. Television’s performing craftsman Paras Kalnawat of Meri Durga and Avinash Mishra of Sethji fame will be playing the male leads in the show. Deshna Dugad, who made her television debut as Radha in Big Magic’s Bal Krishna, has bagged the titular role of Mariam in the show.

Aakriti Sharma is making enormous buzz on the television with her most recent show Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala. The daily is a revamp of Star Jalsha's Bengali show Potol Kumar Gaanwala. It is an account of a young girl, who needs to rejoin with her dad. Producer Gul Khan’s delivered demonstrates likewise stars Mohit Malik and Anjali Anand.

Colors’ upcoming show Roop

Zee TV's India's Best Dramebaaz is prepared for a crisp season. The show is returning after two fruitful seasons that prepared artistes like Nihar Gite, Kartikey Raj, Tamanna Dipak, Kartikey Malviya, Swasti Nitya and Praneet Sharma to name a few. This time as well, the kids-based reality show will hold its arrangement where the aspiring little stars will exhibit their ability before a jury. Star Bharat’s forthcoming project Musakaan

Star Bharat is all set to show off their new reprisal dramatization demonstrating Musakaan. The heart-warming story will be based on mother-daughter relationship. The show is produced under the umbrella of Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. The star cast includes Sonakshi Save as Musakaan and Ariena Dey playing the role of Musakaan’s mother.

SAB TV's upcoming show Aladdin

Siddharth Nigam, who started his acting profession on television with Mahakumbh - Ek Rahasya Ek Kahaani and was last seen in Star Plus’ Chandra Nandni, has been locked to play the lead as Aladdin while beautiful Princess Yasmine will be depicted by Avneet Kaur.
