Arjun and Gurdeep in seventh heaven Lovebirds Arjun Punj and Gurdeep Kohli are an elated duo today. They are just back after receiving Young Achievers awards instituted by a city organization. "The award consists of a trophy. It was an honour to be given the award by Maharashtra's deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde," says Gurdeep with pride. The award function took place in Mumbai on Thursday. No wonder Arjun had to stay away from the press conference of Sahara One's show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, where he plays the lead. "The awards function was scheduled much earlier. So I couldn'tmake it to the press conference," he said. The others who were honoured with the young achiever award were Rajpal Yadav and Indian Idol runner-up Amit Sana, we hear. Hair hang ups! Rucha Gujarathi, the rebellious Kali of Kkusum is busy trying to repair her hair! "I wanted to streak it but it went haywire. Now I want to make them right," Rucha says with annoyance. The once upon a time brunette went blonde four months ago in an effort to look different, more hep. Being blonde however doesn't seem to have helped her much. The lass lost the lead role in Palki to Karishma Tanna recently because she was committed to Kkusum and couldn't adjust her dates. How then, one wonders, is she going to manage the lead in Bhabhi? "Mutual adjustments" - she shrugs! Hiten look alike! There are perhaps only a few actors who can give competition to Hiten Karan Tejwani. Mohit Raina seems to be the toughest competition to Hiten in the looks department, though. This promising lad from Jammu who will make his debut as Shubham in Star Plus's Bhabhi bears an uncanny resemblance to Hiten in his looks. Whether Mohit poses an even bigger competition to Hiten in the acting department is a tale time will tell. Amit - the perfect son-in-law? Amit Sadh and Neeru Bajwa were recently spotted at the Shivaji Park Barista outlet, accompanied by someone who could only have been Neeru's mother. Amit was all charm as he opened the door for his soon to be mother-in-law, placed orders and to put it directly --- played the perfect son-in-law to the hilt! We ask Neeru when the couple intended to tie the knot and she says with a sigh, "Not now and the best part is that we understand each other well, this will happen when it happens." The couple will leave for a cross country tour in June-July or whenever as Neeru says blushing, "When he (Amit) decides to go." This is a couple very much in love, we say! Sajid Khan on 'The Great Indian Comedy Show' Sajid Khan is making a cameo on The Great Indian Comedy Show on Star One on 26 May. He will perform the opening gag, a part of the "Bhatt Naturally" series on the show, where a Mahesh Bhatt look-alike (performed by Vinay Pathak) will hold an interview of Sajid Khan. He will follow this up with a stand up act throughout the show wherein he will spoof a lot of Bollywood actors, actresses and directors. Missing wifey dearest! While television and film actor Yash Tonk was engaged in spreading the idea of a healthy life his dear wife Gauri was away shooting. "The shoot had been scheduled much before. Couldn't cancel it," she said apologetically. Looks like Yash was looking forward to her attendance as he quipped, "She'll come in sometime". But she never did. Yash played cricket with fellow actors against a team of doctors at a match organised by Cancer Patients Aid Association.
