Here we are talking about Kanan Malhotra and Ekta Kaul. The cute couple, who are a part of Zee TV’s Rab Se Sohna Isshq, has apparently called off their engagement. Yes, it is a shocker. But before moving on with the dope…here’s a little flashback for the uninitiated. Kanan was earlier in a relationship with actress Chahatt Khanna (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain), but later things went sour between them and they parted. However, Chahatt tied the knot with Farhan Mirza while Kanan found love in Ekta. Tellychakkar.com carried an article recently wherein Kanan shared with us that he and Ekta will tie the knot on 10 November, 2013. But since then, reports have been trickling in, that somehow, love has went out of the window in the couple’s life. Media also reported about in recently. And now a very credible source has indeed gone on to divulge that Ekta and Kanan have separated. So what really happened? We have the answer… Kanan considers Ekta to be too dominating whereas Ekta calls him a “mama’s boy”. Let’s hear a little more from the source: “They don’t even see eye to eye on the sets. Actually Ekta also was not happy with growing proximity between Kanan and Neha Janpandit (co actor in the show). Moreover, Ekta is very sickly, prone to illness. On the other had Kanan is very energetic. So everything led to tension, which went beyond control.” We have also learnt that two have even returned the gifts they had given to each other during the roka (engagement) ceremony. However when we called up Kanan he said, “Ekta and I are still together.” He also rubbished news of his link up with Neha Janpandit as “bullsh*t”. “Please don’t pay attention to such gossip. Rather give us a few days and we well get back to you once things are clear.” He also denied that he had got into a bond with Ekta as a rebound relationship. “It was an arranged thing. Our parents proposed this match. We first met each other and then love happened. ” Ekta on her part just said that, “she is very disturbed by the rumour.” We just hope and that it is only a minor aberration and the two are able to resolve their differences and get married later this year… for love is a very sweet thing.
