AThe coy and demure Palak of Palki is embarrassed at her own behaviour. No, not as Palak but as the present Ayesha of Ek Ladki Anjaani Si - we are talking of the tall and gorgeous Karishma Tanna with negative shades in the serial ELAS. After she has killed Ananya (Kanchi Kaul), or so she believes, Nikhil's (Shakti Anand) love and wife, Ayesha is all set to fill in the void of Nikhil's life. She is ready to go to any extent and in this attempt, Karishma says, "I had to do a bathroom scene, the promos of which have taken the viewers by storm. For this is the first time a seductive bathtub scene with Shakti will be seen shown on the small screen. I was quite thrilled at the same time embarrassed too while performing the scene." But she assures it is not cheap and has been shot aesthetically. "No, I am not comfortable with such shots, but since it was required I did it," rues the actor. And does the hero fall into her trap and forget his deceased wife Ananya? "No, after all these efforts, he doesn't," laughs Karishma. But we are sure the viewers will not only fall for the charming and sexy Karishma but ask for more! Amruta gives a Hatrick! Amruta Khanvilkar has been out of the daily soaps circuit for quite some time now after Time Bomb. People wondering where the pretty girl might be have a reason to smile as she will be seen on the big screen. Produced by UTV, the film is called Hatrick where she plays Paresh Rawal's loving daughter. Scheduled for a 2007 release, the film stars Kunal Kapoor along with Rimi Sen and will be directed by Milan Luthria. "All I can say is, it's a very sweet role and the movie is a total entertainment with varied emotions and comedy also has a different story," smiles Amruta who was busy shooting for the film in Mumbai. Besides the film in hand, Amruta is anchoring a show on Zee Muzic and waiting patiently for new offers to come her way. But any publicity is good publicity, right? Good Samaritan Aparna! Being afraid of dogs need not be a deterrent to help a hapless canine. This was proved when Aparna Tilak found a wounded Labrador pup, ill-treated by its owners, lying in the colony where she stays. She picked it up and went searching for the right person to take care of the puppy. Says a concerned Aparna, "I was so furious as to how could anyone treat a small, helpless animal like that. So, I called up some so-called animal lovers and when they did not respond, I thought of Anju Mahendroo who works for the animal society but I could not reach her. Then it suddenly struck me that Chandana Sharma of Yeh Dil Chahe More fame, is a dog lover." Now, after handing over the injured pup to Chandana, Aparna is at peace, as she heaves a sigh of relief, "at least the dog is in safe and loving custody!" We say the pup was lucky to have under Aparna's purview or else.
