MTV ex-VJ in Nandy's film MTV ex-VJ, Ranvir Shorey, who says he was living in with Pooja Bhatt once upon a time when her brother Rahul Bhatt bashed him black and blue, has at last signed a film. Pritish Nandy's son, Kushan, who made the box-office turkey 88, Antop Hill has signed him for his second venture titled Hum Dum . The film is set against the backdrop of a game show. Inspired by television, apparently. Says Nandy, "There are two young participants in the show - a male and female - who are thrown together through the various rounds and made to fall in love. If they don't fall in love, they take the booty of 10 crores home, but if they do fall in love, they have to forfeit their jackpot." Anjana Sukhani, the girl who did the Coke commercial with Aamir Khan, plays the female lead. And what is Shorey doing? He is hosting the show! Ejaz eases out of KTH Ejaz Khan (Varun of Kahiin To Hoga) has quit the serial. Insiders tell us that Khan was getting too spaced out with three commitments on his plate- Kahiin To Hoga, Kesar and Kkoi Dil Mein Hai - all three churned out from the Balaji factory. Apparently having consulted those who matter, the guy decided to reduce his work load. If you think of it, he was doing a pretty job playing Mahek's husband, playing father to her illegitimate child, born out of her premarital relationship with Rishi. For those who care, the new face in KTH replacing Ejaz is Chaitanya. Krishna out too? The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Kashish's (Aamna Shariff) sister Kaanan (Krishna) might also be replaced in Kahiin To Hoga. We still don't know why but we'll let you know shortly. Not so long ago, one more of Kashish's sisters Mauli (Ashlesha Sawant) had departed the scene. Are Kashish's sisters not enjoying playing second fiddles? Sheth, Takia smiling Abbas-Mastan's latest Taarzan- The Wonder Car may not have set the cash registers ringing but TV grads, Vatsal Sheth (Just Mohabbat) and Ayesha Takia (Shake it Daddy), are all smiles. Meghna Kaliyon Ka Chamman Naidu will set screens on fire again with Shawar Ali (how can you forget Hawas?) in Mahendra Dhariwal's new film titled Chetna which will be directed by Ajay Chandok. The film is likely to also have Vasundhra Das, playing. Shawar's wife. Meghna will play the title role and Shawar's multi-millionaire boss. Shawar is a happily married man until Meghna starts lusting for him and starts making desperate attempts to seduce him. What happens thereafter forms the balance of the story which Dhariwal prefers remaining tight-lipped about. There'll be quite a bit of sex in the film, Dhariwal tells us. Shawar will have steamy scenes with the wife and the seductress boss, both. Can you wait? Divya Dutta joins Kurkure band After having played Tulsi and Jassi, Juhi Chawla will now play herself in the next Kurkure ad which will soon be on air. Divya Dutta will also feature in the same ad. For Pete's sake, what happened to UTV's Shanno Ki Shaadi which was supposed to star Dutta in the title role? Will it ever see the light of day?
