Is Vikram the guilty one?
If all fingers today point at Vikram Kapadia as the rapist in Ekta Kapoor's K Street, Pali Hill, it could head the other way too, we're told. The fact is that Balaji House has still not zeroed down on who would be hanged by the noose. According to the original story, we hear, Vikram was the rapist. On date, the situation is in a limbo.

Prachee puts her foot down
Did you know that Prachee Shah who opted out of Kyunki... was offered the role of the rape victim? Prachee says she turned it down. "I am barely 25, how can I play more than double my age?" We won't argue, Prachee.

More of Murli
Murli Sharma's back on television with a one-hour weekly called Guns and Roses on Star One. "The show is called Guns and Roses but for me it is only Guns & Guns," he laughs. Incidentaly the character he plays in the series is also called Murli. "I don’t have to speak much in the show for a change. So you will see me relaxed on the sets because I don’t have to remember too many lines. My friend, Alyy does it all." Ally is Alyy Khan - the guy who was unceremoniously dropped from Ekta Kapoor's K Street, Pali Hill. Murli tells us that "he has become quite familiar with using the gun". Hey Murli, how about obtaining a shooting license?

Nausheen is Mom again!
Do you know Nausheen Ali Sardar who has lot oodles of weight to look sexy for Star Plus' show 'Kaalchakra' (that starts this Friday) is playing mom to not one but two kids in that show? No prizes for guessing that both kids will be played by Nausheen herself? Remember this babe threw up 'Kkusum' because she was playing mom? This time around, she says, “it’s really a challenging role because I am playing the mother of twins. So there is plenty of scope for me to perform as all three characters are different entities. Plus the mom's role is of a short span," she quips. Hmmm... Are you tuned in, Ekta?

Meghna clarifies
"Stop speculating that I and Shawar Ali are having a scene," says the 'Kaliyon Ka Chamman' girl. "I am in love but not with Shawar. I am going around with hotelier Raj Shetty (of hotel 'On The Platter') and have no qualms in saying so. Just because Shawar and I have some hot scenes in our work profile does not mean that we developed feelings for each other. What may appear exotic to the audience is simply serious work for we artistes. Raj is absolutely comfy about my roles and we have discussed this." We'll take that, Ms Naidu.

Bajpai, Shergill in Sagars' flick
The third generation of the Sagars who have 'Hatim' and 'Hello Dollie' (Star Plus) in their bag, are stepping into the world of films. Come February '05 and Amrit Sagar (grandson of the veteran Ramanand Sagar) will don the director's hat for a film dealing with six POWs trapped in Pakistan. The film titled '1971' will be produced by Sagar Films Pvt Ltd. The last film from the house of Sagars was Salma (Farooque Shaikh, Salma Agha, Raj Babbar) in 1985. While Manoj Bajpai, Jimmy Shergill and newcomer Deepak have been cast for three of the six main leads, three spots are still up for grabs. The film will be set in the post '71 Indo-Pak war period stretching till '77 and have neither any heroine nor any songs. Interesting, considering that these are the days of skin shows!

Padmini in demand
Padmini Kolhapure who is making a comeback of sorts with Karan Razdan's film 'Eight' is getting lots of TV offers. Buzz is, the Tragedy Queen of the 80s ('Prem Rog', 'Ahista Ahista') was offered roles on Star and Sony both. But she turned them down, politely of course.

ronically, her sister Tejaswini Kolhapure's debut film 'Stop' directed by Ajai Sinha (of Zee's TV serial 'Astitva- Ek Prem Kahani') has sunk without a trace. Diametrically opposite in nature these sisters, we hope their careers don't go in the opposite directions too.
