MUMBAI: After winning viewers over with his bad-boy character as Siddhant Sinha in &TV's Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki, popular actor Ankit Bathla also played the role of Vedant Sinha the good lawyer who is out to get justice for people. 

Fans have loved Ankit on the show and the duality he showed while laying these two polar opposite characters. 

Ankit is known for his portrayal of Madhav in Beta Hi Chahiye, Dhruv Pandey in Thapki Pyar Ki, and Akshay Khanna in Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji.

TellyChakkar had exclusively reported that Ankit will be starring in a Bollywood murder mystery 'Do Ajnabee' with Arya Babbar.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about his upcoming movie, working in OTT, and returning to TV shows.

What can you tell us about the movie ‘Do Ajnabee’?

The movie is about deceit, love, and a lot of misunderstandings. It is a murder mystery, a lot of suspense that makes the movie very interesting and the climax is something that is very unexpected. 

What is the X- factor about your character? And what made you say yes to it? 

The X-Factor of the movie is me, I am kidding of course. I was shooting in Jaipur for my serial and then I went to Nanital to shoot the movie and it was a very interesting experience. So, I think the movie as a whole is a beautiful spectacle. About my character, he is someone who is very intelligent and has cracked a big code. Hence, the whole story revolves around that. I said yes to the role because of the character and because of the makers involved in it.

Are there any new projects that you are working on, what can you tell us about them?

I recently shot a music video in Dubai, and I think music videos provide a great platform and it is a great trend that has started. There is romance and there is a lot of heartbreak as well and I love it. One of my recent music videos crossed 3 million views with Sarah Khan and I have one more music video coming out that we shot in Dubai.

Is there anything you want to say to fans?

I just want to say thank you to the fans. I think social media is a great way to connect with the fans because even when we are not working, they still support us. We get love from all over the world and I am really grateful for that.

The movie Do Ajnabee stars Raj Babbar, and Ankit Bathla and will be directed by Sanjeev Singh Rajput.
