The young cute actor Uday Pratap Singh, who is currently essaying the lead in Colors Bangla’s Tumi Ele Tai, says as a lover he is boring and would like to settle down with a girl who is intelligent. In a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com, Uday opens up his heart and talks about his dream girl. Excerpts:  

In the serial Tumi Ele Tai, your character (Utsav) agrees to tie the knot with Babli for his own benefits. Will you do something like this in real life?  

Never. Being a man, I would like to lead my life on my own terms. I can never cheat anybody for money. Papa ne kabhi waise bada hi nahi kiya (That’s not how I have been brought up)

So, what are Uday’s love ke funday?        

Love with all your heart and don’t go half-hearted into a relationship, because it is a waste of emotion, time and money. Treat your girl like your queen. They are the best thing on earth; protect them.

How is Uday as a lover? 

Uday as a lover is very boring. He can’t talk for long hours over the phone...ten minutes feel like hours to me. I want to fall in love but finding girlfriends are really expensive these days!

What is your relationship status?

I am single. 

So are you upset being single? 

(Laughs out loud) No, no...I am not upset at all. I am very happy being single. I have all the time to get committed later on. Now I want to enjoy life being single.

What would be the three qualities you would like to see in your girl before getting hitched?

Smile, innocence and intelligence. I want my girl to be intelligent because I am pretty dumb! I need someone to even out things for me.

Among the actresses, who do you think is the ideal marriage material?

Parineeti Chopra. All you want is that million dollar smile when you open the door after a hard day’s work and all your pain goes for a toss... Parineeti has that.
