After her successful stint as a reality show winner, singer Anushka Manchanda is now hosting MTV’s latest reality show Stunt Mania. We caught up with this singer turned host to know more about her stint Why Stunt Mania? Because I won Fear Factor I was probably offered the show and when I was offered, I didn’t think twice. Also I have just beginning riding my bike, I have bought myself one. I am enjoying being part of the show. The offer popped up at the right time. It is a feel good show and I get this rush when am hosting it. You mentioned Fear factor…you think there are any similarities between these two shows. Both are stunt based shows. It is also a discussion show, there are no voting systems. The whole concept is based on your skills. Things happen at the very moment. Does this also mean your singing career takes a backseat now? Not at all! In fact I have four songs releasing this year itself. I have lent my voice for two songs for ‘Aisha’, one for Karan Johar’s ‘We are Family’ and one for ‘Lafangey Parindey’. Are you looking at any more reality shows as a host then? It is just this one show for me now. Actually it depends from show to show. The concept appealed to me and I took it up. I will always do something that excites me and I will never take up anything just for money. Do you think there is a trend where reality show winners are being chosen to play hosts of similar reality shows? I think it has more to do with the channel. It is their final call on who hosts which show. But I think that there is a certain popularity attached with the person, people have watched you and if you compare them with completely unknown faces then obviously you have an upper hand. The channel would also like to pick up someone who is more aware of the whole happening, what goes on behind the scenes in a reality show. Any interesting anecdotes you would like to share with us. We have had many exciting times during the making of the show. I didn’t get much time to ride or anything like that. The weather was tough. There always used to be 10-11 Pulsars parked. Allan Amin used to cook food for us. We have had a good time on the show. I spent a lot of time away from the pollution (smiles). Last heard you were seeing someone, what’s happening on the personal front? We broke up some time ago. I am not seeing anyone now. I am single! (laughs)
