Phulwa that launched just a month ago has made it to the top 10 shows on the channel. The viewers seem to have taken a liking to the little Phulwa. Jannat Zubair Rahmani who plays the title role was last seen in Kashi. Interestingtly, Jannat like Phulwa better than Kashi. Here Jannat tells TellyChakkar why she likes Phulwa and how her on-screen character inspires her in real life. Do you enjoy playing Phulwa? I love it. Phulwa is a cute girl and she likes to be with her mother. She also loves to play. She stands against the wrong especially against Thakur and his people. The character inspires me too in real life. So, can we say that Jannat is like Phulwa? We are same but just little bit (giggles). There was a scene where you had to dive into water in Chambal and it was really cold. How did you shoot it? Yes, the water was cold but the production people had made it normal and I tried. It’s over now so it’s ok. If we compare both your characters Kashi and Phulwa which one do you like more and why? I like Phulwa more than Kashi. Actually Kashi was also nice but there was lot of rona-dhona in it so I did not like it much. Phulwa does not cry much but fights for things and she laughs too, so I like her. How do you want to see your character grow in Phulwa? I want it to be like Jhansi Ki Rani. Just like Jhansi Ki Rani is brave I want Phulwa too to grow up a brave girl. I want Phulwa to be Chambal ki Rani! What are the things you like doing the most? I love acting, dancing, skipping and cycling. Do you go to school regularly? Sometimes I bunk school but I get enough time to study and complete my homework. What would you like to become once you grow up? I want to be an actress. I want to be famous like Katrina (Kaif), Kareena (Kapoor) and Aishwarya (Rai). Which is your favourite movie? My favourite movie is No Entry. I love movies of Salman Khan. He is my favourite. Have you played any pranks on anybody? I had my exams going on and it was April Fool’s Day so I called up one of the creative members of Kashi and told him I had not written anything in my exam paper and that the teacher was really angry and had asked me not to shoot for the next 10 days so that I could concentrate on studies. (Laughs) He got scared and then I told him I was just fooling. What about playing pranks on sets of Phulwa? Let April 1 come, I will think of something.
