Hence her parents look after her finances. An insight into Dimple’s money matters as she continues to be high on life. How important is money for you? It is very important. Money is everything in today’s world. After all, money talks. Are you an impulsive buyer? Yes and I do that very often. Whenever I am not shooting, I am either shopping or blowing money in a parlour. What are the investments you have made? I know nothing about my investments in spite of being a commerce student. My Dad invests my money but I don’t know where and how. What is your most expensive purchase? My car Swift that I bought three months ago for five lakhs is my most expensive purchase. Earlier, I used to travel by bus. As I was doing TV commercials and later this show, travelling by bus got extremely hectic. There were times when I even cried waiting for a bus at the bus stop. Do you feel financially secure? My parents have made my life financially secure. As far as my money is concerned, I feel financially superior to my friends. There are people around me who belong to my age group, they are better students compared to me but I am financially independent and earn much more than what they can. It is because of my profession. Who handles your expenses? My parents handle my expenses. I hand over all my earnings to my parents. Whenever I need money, I ask them for it. Our parents do so much for us. Hence, it is the duty of every child to give their earnings to their parents. I believe that they have an equal right on my earnings. What was your first salary? What you did with it? My first salary was Rs. 750. I earned it by doing an advertisement for a sidey brand last year. How much money do you carry every day? My money was once stolen so now I carry just Rs.200 in my bag but I keep Rs. 2,000 in my car which I can use for emergencies. I don’t like carrying cards as I find them to be a big headache. Do you invest in the stock market? I guess my Dad invests my money in the stock market but I have no clue. Any advice for investors? By now, I think readers would have realised that I am not the right person for any advice related to investments.
