KOLKATA: Good news for all the music lovers! Aakash Aath’s musical programme, Gandariya, is back.

This is the second season of the show. The first season earned popularity and that’s why the makers decided to return with Season 2.

The team has changed the concept of the show a bit. Unlike the previous season, Season 2 will cover almost every genres of music including Rabindra Sangeet, Folk Music, Retro Music, Old Bengali Melodies etc.

There will be special performances on mashups. The programme will render tribute to the legend composers, music directors, lyricists and will also be a platform for showcasing various exclusive theme-based performances like, ‘sound of Bengal’, ‘qawali with baul’, ‘brishtir gaan’, ‘hashir gaan’ and more.

Some of the popular singers who will be seen crooning in the show include Haimanti Shukla, Monamay Bhattacharya, Jayati Chakraborty, Raghab Chatterjee, Pt. Tanmoy Bose, Iman Chakraborty, Jojo among others and new generation singers like Adriza, Rishi, Tirtha, Shovan, and Pratik Chowdhury to name a few.  

The director of the show is Sugoto Chatterjee and music director is Rathijit Bhattacharjee.

So, gear up for the musical show! It will start from 24 May and air every Thursday to Saturday at 9.30 pm.
