During the launch conference of Life OK’s Do Dil Ek …Jaan (Nautanki Telefilms) last night (30 May 2013), Life OK, General Manager, Ajit Thakur could not help but narrate an incident related to producer of the above show Saurabh Tewari. It was an interesting revelation. The incident goes back to the days when Saurabh was the Programming Head of Imagine. Ajit had just come down from the US and wanted to produce a TV show. Interestingly, after a lot of persuasion, Saurabh gave him time to come to his office. “And he told me that I had five minutes to narrate my story. Though I narrated my story in five minutes, he rejected it in a jiffy. And years later it was interesting to see him at my office. There was this moment when I wanted to give him just five minutes to narrate his story but then, he is one of the most creative guys in the industry and look here we are with the show,” revealed a beaming Thakur. In his reply to this, Saurabh smiled and thanked Ajit for not asking him to leave in five minutes, flat. This was indeed a role reversal moment of the two biggies of the industry.
