Sony Pal’s Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi, produced by Shashi-Sumeet Productions will depict a cute love story that will kick-start with the lead girl’s five sisters looking for a perfect suitor for her. While Rahul Sharma and Preeti Chaudhary will play the lead characters, the maker has brought in a very good ensemble cast. As the captain of the ship, three experienced actors have been brought on board. Talented actress Anjali Mukhi who plays Neha Marda’s mother in Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki has been roped in to play mother to Rahul Sharma. Anjali will be seen in a completely different avatar in the show. She will have a modern look and will be a strict disciplinarian who holds all the power to her huge company. She would want her son to follow in her footsteps. Also, there will be a huge baggage of the past that the lady will carry, and this will bring few complexities into her character. Also coming on board will be veteran actors Farida Dadi and Susheel Parashar. They will play the grandparents of the male lead, Rahul Sharma. When contacted, Anjali Mukhi confirmed the news stating, “Yes, this role is very different from whatever I have played in the past. Also, I have had a long association going with Sony. After being seen in Khwaish and Saas Bina Sasural, I am excited to be part of this show. Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi has a beautiful concept, and we are looking forward to the launch of the channel.” We tried calling Farida Dadi and Susheel, but could not get through to them. Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi will also have Priyamvada Kant, Amrita Prakash and Farhina Parvez playing important roles. As reported, Sony Pal will launch on 1 September with nine shows in their programming line-up.
