Ankit Mohan
Actor Ankit Mohan feels that destiny has played a major role in shaping his career. Since the time he has shifted to Mumbai seeking to become an actor, he has auditioned maximum number of times at the Balaji Telefilms office. However, ‘lady luck’ had kept him away from being part of the Balaji clan till now. But now, Ankit is excited as his dream of working in a Balaji Telefilms show has come true. Yes, the young lad has bagged a very prominent role in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming show on Zee TV, Kumkum Bhagya. He will essay the negative-shaded younger brother of Shabbir Ahluwalia. A reliable source says, “Ankit will play the role of Akash who will be full of attitude. He will be a carefree guy, and will not take the advice of anyone. While Shabbir’s character will be very positive, Ankit’s will be a typical negative character.” When contacted, Ankit Mohan who has been part of shows like Roadies Season 4, Namak Haram, Basera, Shobha Somnath Ki, Ghar Aaja Pardesi said, “I really wanted to see myself working with the Balaji family. I have heard that Balaji Telefilms is the only production house which turns a normal actor into a star overnight. I respect Ms. Ekta Kapoor who has built this empire with her sheer hard work and intelligence. I am now glad that I have got a chance to showcase my acting abilities in Kumkum Bhagya.” Ankit, who has also been part of Shahid Kapoor’s movie Mausam, is presently seen donning the role of Ashwathama in Star Plus’ Mahabharat. The actor stated, “Except for my film Mausam, I have got to play grey and negative roles. Presently, you can see me in such a role as Ashwathama in Mahabharat. According to me, there is a lot more space to play and learn in negative roles rather than positive ones.” Ankit, we hope your stars shine bright!!
