Actor Aru Verma, who essays the role of Bappa in Sudhir Sharma’s It’s Complicated on Channel [V], is gung-ho about his role in the recently released movie 2 States. He essays the boyfriend of Arjun Kapoor’s cousin sister in the movie. A character who is pretty greedy when it comes to money, gets a counselling from the lead girl Alia Bhatt after which he ends up marrying his lady love. Talking about his role and the feedback so far, Aru says, “I play a very funny role of Duke who is married to Arjun’s cousin. I have not yet watched the movie, since we are shooting back-to-back for It’s Complicated. My family and friends though have watched the movie. I have got a good response from few peers in the industry till now.” Aru who has featured in nearly seven films and has been part of many ads till now feels it is a wonderful experience to work with Sunshine Productions. “I simply love being part of the show. And the team of Sunshine Productions headed by Sudhir Sharma make it a wonderful place for the actors. I have heard a lot of stories on how things can go wrong at the shoot place. But it is a pleasure working with this unit. They are very co-operative and supportive that they do not bind an actor to only their show. In fact, when I was shooting for 2 States, I got the role of Bappa for the Channel [V] show. And there was a time when I used to shoot for my movie at night and directly head to the set of my show in the morning to be there the whole day.” Talking about his future, the young lad states, “I have bagged two more films for which I will be starting shoot soon. I will be juggling between my movie and my show. And as I said earlier, the production team gives us a free hand to work on other things beyond the show.” Three cheers, Aru!!
