Ashish Kaul ‘has the last laugh’ as he bags a challenging role in Star Plus’ Arjun

Ashish Kaul
Talented actor Ashish Kaul is actually having the last laugh when it comes to the challenging roles that he has been getting of late by way of episodic stories on TV. Recently, the actor shot at Varanasi for a particular story of Life OK’s Savdhan India, produced by K Light Productions. That is when he was called to play an important performance-oriented role in Colors’ long-running show Balika Vadhu where he was to play a lawyer. Ashish was in fact on the set, and was to begin the shoot when the Director realized that he would not fit the role. However, this did not leave the actor brooding, and he has now gone on to bag an interesting role in Arjun, the cop-based thriller produced by 4 Lions Films on Star Plus. Says Ashish, “Yes, it is true that I was to play a lawyer in Balkia Vadhu. I was looking forward to my association with Colors through this show, but unfortunately things did not fall into place. I was all geared up for shoot when the Director gave me 17 pages of script and wanted to shoot the whole thing in a day. Well, I have been in this industry for 18 years now, and I have never come across a Director shooting so many scenes at one go. I told them that I could only manage to do 7 pages in a day. Ultimately, they decided to replace me and get another actor on board. Guess the Director had his own reasons to taking the decision.” He continues saying, “Well, I always have a positive approach to life, and never get sad on any happening. I am now excited as I have got a call for Star Plus’ Arjun. I will be playing the role of the main villain who is really bad. I will start shooting for this episodic very soon.” Guess all that happens is for good, Ashish!! Way to go…
