MUMBAI: A foodie himself, actor Ayyaz Ahmed plans to start an online food delivery service soon. The actor says that he is passionate about this project and is still finalising the details.

“I think you should follow the things that excite you. Food is something I love and have a passion for. In today's time where you can order food with just a click, communicating has become so easy. I am not actually opening a restaurant but it is an online food delivery service which will deliver online orders and give takeaway services. I haven't decided on the name as yet. It is an idea which can be done at a low cost, low capital or even no capital. I am a great foodie and I have a passion to serve people too,” he says.

Ask him where he loves to eat in Mumbai, and he shares, “I cannot name one place in Mumbai and abroad, there are like dozens of places where I like to go to. One thing that comes to my mind is a food truck near the Kites beach in Dubai. They serve delicious and outstanding beef burgers and I could not find the same kind anywhere else.”

Ayyaz loves cooking as well and often cooks his meals. “It's like a stress buster for me, I do it to relax. My favourite recipes are Biryani Pulav and Bhuna Mutton and I make delicious Shahi Tukda. I also love Sushi and I am soon going to attempt to make that too.”

Talking about cooking disasters, he shares, “I recall a funny incident where during my earlier days in Mumbai, I asked a friend if he could cook Rajma Chawal and he said yes. Now to cook rajma, it has to be soaked in water for hours overnight. He started cooking and used soda to make it edible. But the rajma was still hard. I finally called my mother asking about it and she enlightened us with what we did wrong.”

A lot of times it is said that acting is a hectic profession. But Ayyaz says that if you are passionate about something, you must find time for it.

“An actor can do things like any other person doing any other work. It's all about time management. If you have the passion for what you are doing, you can do anything. There's no excuse to the fact that I am an actor and I cannot get time to do other things. I have managed to get this started even with my busy shooting schedules,” he says.
