Balaji Telefilms to launch its next on Star Plus

Balaji Telefilms is on a roll these days!!!

With its shows like Naagin, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Kumkum Bhagya churning out great numbers, the makers are all set to launch another show soon tentatively titled Mangalsutra.

To be aired on Star Plus, the series Mangalsutra will portray the tale of a woman ready to fight all odds to be a protective shield for her husband. The tale would be loosely inspired from the tale of Savitri who got back her husband’s life from Yamraj.

As per sources, the lead of the show will not be a young couple, but somewhere on the lines of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’s Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar.

Shared the source, “The creatives are currently working on the final draft of the script and the casting will begin soon.”

We tried reaching Producer Ekta Kapoor and channel’s spokesperson but did not receive any revert till the time of filing the story.
