Yesterday, we reported that Colors Bangla’s Rojgere Ginni is all set to bring a new format which will be hosted by new anchor Daminee Benny Basu (New format in Colors Bangla’s Rojgere Ginni; Daminee to host the show).   

And the current season is being hosted by Paroma Banerjee.  

When Tellychakkar.com buzzed Paroma to know her opinion on the new format and new host, she said, “I feel it’s a wonderful concept. I welcome this positive change. I am very excited about the show and once it starts I will watch every episode.”

“The new format is such that the team will have to shoot at many outdoor locations. Although I don’t call myself a celebrity, over the years, because of Rojgere Ginni I feel I have become a known face. Compared to my earlier days, now it would be difficult to shoot at locations like Sealdah railway station. Benny is a good choice for the new format. She has that girl-next-door image. We know Benny as an actress but not as an anchor. Through this programme, that side of hers will be explored. I think she will do justice to the new format,” she added.  

However, the pretty lady fears that the new concept may not succumb to the pressure of the vicious circle of TRP.  

She observed, “Devoid of the glam of television, it would be a kind of documentary show which will narrate the true inspirational stories of women by capturing the real locations. Television is TRP driven and so, many a times it happens that due to lack of good TRP ratings, good shows end even before the actual time. Audience takes time to accept something new with which they are not habituated. But then we have to take risks or else we will never be able to welcome fresh new concepts.”  

We also asked if the audience can expect her to return to the TV as a host of the particular show again. She quipped, “My gut feeling says I will return again but with a new concept.”
