Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka to end on 18 October?

Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka, produced by Hats Off Productions was launched on Sony Entertainment Television with the unique USP of the ‘Bahu’ of the house getting remarried. However, the plot did not appeal to the viewers and the show failed to deliver in numbers. As per the research conducted, there was an opinion that viewers would start liking the show once the girl got married, and this is when the makers took the story ahead in a hurry. As per the research conducted, there was an opinion that viewers would start liking the show once the girl got married, and this is when the makers took the story ahead in a hurry. But all their efforts did not bring in the numbers. We now get to hear that the show will apparently be taken off the channel in mid October, and the date proposed is 18 October 2012. Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd’s untitled show on the concept of the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ starring Sargun Mehta, Rohit Khurana and Abhishek Malik in lead roles is expected to take the slot of Byaah HamariTellychakkar.com contacted Producer J.D. Majethia to get his comment on the closure of Byaah and he said, “As of now, we have not been informed of such a thing. We are presently concentrating on Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka performing well in terms of numbers. We had an inclination earlier that the show will pick up in numbers after the girl gets married, but that did not happen. Unfortunately, the ratings have not improved and any show that is not delivering has to end. Having said this, we are looking at things positively. We have opened up a new track with the entry of a mysterious character. This is an interesting phase and if we do well in numbers, there is always a chance that we will stay on, as there are lot many vacant slots on the channel.” Let’s see if Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka.. survives the test of time..
