At the moment, Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions’ Pvt. Ltd., the makers of Diya Aur Baati Hum shown on Star Plus, are on a celebration spree as the show’s TRPs have moved North. The show has managed to be in the top most position for a while now. However, in the TAM ratings of week 9 that came in yesterday (7 March 2013), the TVR of the serial jumped to 5.9 which is a great leap from 4.6 TVR in week 8. Therefore, the team planned to celebrate their success today (8 March 2013). But, since it’s also Women’s Day today, they planned to have a double celebration. As per a source the team cut a cake on the sets. When we contacted Anas Rashid aka Sooraj, he said, “I do not believe in TRPs anymore but am confident that better numbers mean more people watching our show. So, I am happy.” And in spite of our repetitive attempts, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya remained unavailable for comment. Congratulations to the entire team!!!
