Chahat Khanna’s character in Sony Entertainment’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is going through a big change. “The creative’s have stopped making Ayesha evil (earlier she was seen blackmailing Natasha) now she follows Natasha’s footsteps. I guess Balaji Telefilms(production house) thought it is better to stick to the existing popular negative characters of Natasha (Sumona Chakravarti) and Niharika( Eva Grover),” reveals the actress. Chahat who has been around TV for many years (Sachi Baat Sabhi Jag Jane, Kaajjal-Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi and Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna) has now finally found success with Bade , “Now it gets difficult to go out to malls on weekends even when I going by car people knock at my window and say Ayesha.” Looking back she admits, “I have not reached where my contemporaries and juniors have reached, but I guess I did not want to compromise with my values.” In fact, she is also not insecure about sharing screen space with big actors like Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. “Let’s face the fact that it is because of them, that our show has become this popular.” Chahat, who has also dabbled with the big screen (7 1/2 Phere), informs that she is getting film offers from down South, but she is not accepting them as she feels that won’t be able to handle TV and films both. “I might do a lead role in a TV show as I don’t shoot too many days with Bade. But I will not leave this show which has made me popular till some major date hassle happens,” adds the actress. Coming to her personal life, Chahat says, “I am happy to be single. I have learnt a lot from my broken marriage. But I don’t say men are only evil for they come under the evil influence of other women. It is often said that woman is a woman’s biggest enemy.”
