Comedy Classes- A new flavour on TV

With the AIB Roast getting lots and lots of attention for its ‘different’ take on comedy, we are sure even television makers would contemplate to dish out something unique in terms of the idea of rib tickling. But there is indeed one show which deserves your precious television viewing attention. And that is Comedy Classes (Optimystix) on Life OK for some real LOL and ROFL moments. Firstly, take a bow team Comedy Classes for getting a great comic ensemble. The talents with their amazing performances leave you in splits. Siddharth Sagar, who plays ‘Selfie Mausi’, is one woman who you would love to watch. Every day when she enters the scene with her ‘jumping jack’ steps, the mood is set. Siddharth has truly made his mark as the frustrated, yet rich Mausi who has everyone on her command all day. The world knows how perfect a comic timing Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Shakeel have, but what adds to their advantage is the type of characters they get to portray in every episode. Madhura Naik, Srman Jain, Bruna Abdullah, Subuhi Joshi and Mubeen Saudagar have also found their comic touch. Now coming to the actual king of the show- content, well hats off to the team that has been churning out different themes in every episode. Like us, we are sure even viewers enjoy the ‘spoof’ comedy to a great extent. Though the initial episodes of Comedy Classes were more or less seen as a sketch comedy show, the true flavour of the laugh riot can be tasted now through the funny and jabby takes on shows and movies. The last episode which was spoof on Chak De! Had our tummy churn in laughter. From Krushna’s SRK to Bharti’s goal keeper act, the heart touching serious film became a comic caper, thanks to them. And the goal keeper act in the end, suggesting that he will give her a thrashing lest she fails was the most appreciated line… Apart from that, the comedian heroes have also spoofed other popular shows on TV like Savdhan India, Indian Idol, India’s Got Talent or Bigg Boss and they all have been very impressive without offending anyone’s sentiment. Comedy is one genre which seems easy to the eye but requires immense talent and dexterity to make it work. Comedy Classes has a tight script and also commendable performers. It’s a winner in all.
