Today morning (25 September 2013) was an unfortunate morning for Colors and Kapil Sharma as the sets of Comedy Nights With Kapil caught fire. The set’s located at Filmcity, Mumbai. Yes, you heard it right!!! The fire started at 8 in the morning and only spot boys were around at that time. The shoot was scheduled for 2 pm later in the day. “Thankfully, the crowd was less. If the mishap would have happened in presence of a large audience, then the scenario could have turned ugly,” said a source. The same source further added that cameras and other equipment were up in flames, leading to major financial losses. Later the fire was finally brought in control by the fire brigade. (Check above exclusive pics of the sets when in fire and after the fire brigade came in action). We contacted Ali Asgar better known as Dadi of Comedy Nights and he said, “It’s really sad. I am completely surprised and shocked. But, it’s good to hear that nobody is injured.” He further went on to add, “Hamare show ko nazar lag gai (someone cast en evil eye on the show).” When asked if he has received any details on the shooting he remained clueless, “I have no idea about any of it. The news is yet to sink in.” We also tried contacting Kapil but he remained unavailable for comment. The reason for the fire is still unknown and investigation is still on. This is the second incident of a set catching fire this year. Earlier, the sets of Zee TV’s Aaj Ki Housewife Hai … Sab Jaanti Hai caught fire and was turned into ashes.
