Contiloe to bring its much-loved show Jhansi Ki Rani back on TV

Jhansi Ki Rani

MUMBAI: There are few shows that have been game changers on Indian television, and one of them is Contiloe’s Jhansi Ki Rani.

The historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, had gained a mammoth response from the viewers. The show made actresses Kratika Sengar and Ulka Gupta overnight stars.

TellyChakkar has learned that Contiloe is bringing the show back on the small screen. Earlier, the show aired on Zee TV; however, this time, it will air on Colors. There will be a few changes in the storyline and a whole new cast.

It seems like the Jhansi Ki Rani fever is set to take the TV and Bollywood industries by storm, as Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika is also making its way to theaters in January 2019.

Talking about the show, it is slated to go on floors by January or February.

We tried reaching out to Contiloe’s producer Abhimanya Singh, but he remained unavailable.

Are you excited about the news? Do let us know who can depict the role of Jhansi the best?
