Creative Eye to produce a love story for Colors

Tales of affluent Mumbai families are a thing of the past. Serials based in rural homes and highlighting social causes have become the order of the day. So, whether it’s a child marriage, female infanticide, poor farmers selling off their daughters or love stories hindered by caste barrier, TV producers are all jumping on to this bandwagon.

Soon, Dheeraj Kumar’s Creative Eye production, in association with debutant producer Rajita Sharma (writer Yeh rishta kya kehlata hai fame), will produce a love story for Colors. Talking about the show a source says, “This untitled daily is a love story of a couple whose families are at loggerheads. Caste and class difference aggravate the divide. The show is set in Lucknow. Rajita Sharma, writer of Yeh rishta kya kehtlata fame, is the co-producer. This is Sharma’s foray into production. The two leads are fresh faces. Among the supporting cast, the likes of Rohitashv Gaur and Aishwarya Sarkar have been finalised. Shooting will start in November but the show is only expected to come later as the channel will first be airing the Abhishek Bachchan hosted game show Bingo.” When contacted, both Gaur and Narkar confirmed to signing the show but refused to divulge any other details. We tried contacting both Rajita Sharma and Dheeraj Kumar and even sent them a text message but they didn’t reply.
