Tellychakkar.com came across some very bold and explicit pictures of TV actress Debina Bonnerjee (Ramayan, Zor Ka Jhatka, Chidiya Ghar) and before publishing them, to maintain the sense of decorum, we decided to chat with Debina on the same who in real life is married to TV heartthrob Gurmeet Choudhary (Geet, Punar Vivah). She said, “Someone is morphing my pictures (using my face and somebody else’s body). This has been happening for the past two or three years and several other sets of such false pictures are also doing the rounds on social networking sites like Facebook (FB) as well. They hope that Gurmeet will see them and leave me, but this will not happen for we are committed to each other for life.” So what action have you taken? “We had filed a police complaint to the cyber cell of the Mumbai Police. This harassment also got extended to my phone as I would get some funny messages and calls.” Debina was lucky that this mischief did not harm her family life. “Gurmeet entirely trusts me and my life has not been affected. At first I was hurt hence he told me to deactivate my FB account. He also has pulled out of this very popular social networking site himself. I also tried to deactivate the e-mail account which was linked to my above FB profile as it was hacked, but somehow whenever I would pull the plug on it somebody would again reactivate it.” We then asked her about the news flying around that she had done a nude center spread for a popular men’s magazine some time back? “This is all false and spread by those same jealous people who are angry that I got Gurmeet while they could not. These guys even used my earlier south film songs and posted them on social networking sites and wrote nasty comments on them.” She did not deny that some of those songs were ‘hot’. “But I am not answerable to anybody what I do expect to my husband and family and whatever I have done in those films was with their permission.” Here she added, “Had I really wanted to gain some cheap publicity and were these pictures for real, would I have not done more such photo shoots and then used the resultant buzz to get big ticket reality shows? But I rather remain low profile and let my work speak for itself.” In closing Debina averred, “I am not really bothered about these pictures anymore. These childish people will one day grow up and realize that what they are doing is wrong.
