MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one popular longest running sitcom which never fails to entertain audience. With its interesting tracks, the show has been keeping the viewers hooked to the TV screens. In fact, the show has managed to achieve a major milestone as it has completed 11 years recently. The team celebrated the occasion with cake and everyone got emotional remembering the good old days.

The show is known for its iconic characters such as Jethalal, Dayaben, Tapu and Babita among others. Much to fans' dismay Disha Vakani who played the role of Daya opted out of the serial post-delivery of her baby. Reports on her coming back as well as a new actress stepping into her shoes keep circulating now and then. However, nothing official is out on the same.

In an interview with DNA, Dilip opened up on working with new Daya if Disha gets replaced. He said, “I don’t know, never say never. Disha might return as Dayaben. I’m hoping and keeping my fingers crossed.” He added that he is okay working with new Daya.

He added, “If someone from our family goes, life goes on. You have to adjust. There’s no option I think she owns this character. She has worked hard for nine-and-a-half years.”
