MUMBAI: Kaatelal and Sons has become one of the most loved sitcoms on television presently. Their light-hearted drama and Garima-Susheela’s sisterhood give major family goals to the audience.

We had exclusively updated the fans that the show is taking a leap soon. The leap will bring in a major change in the relationship between Garima and Susheela. Both of them will turn rivals due to a major conflict in the show.

Now, TellyChakkar breaks the shocker to all Dr Pramod fans that Paras Arora confirmed that he is quitting the show. 22nd July will be the last day of his shoot.

Talking about him quitting the show we asked him about the reason that made him take this decision.

Paras spills the beans about the reason for quitting, "I have had the least screen space in this show in comparison to the other shows. I was actually going to quit the show way before when Ankit had quit the show. My character wasn't utilized enough in the show, I was not satisfied with the character graph, its creativity and screen space. However, we all know the show is woman-oriented, but where my character could get more visibility even there I had minimal presence. This was one of the major discussions I have had with the makers but we tried enough to come on the same page."

While sharing the reason, he added, "It was a difficult call to make amid this pandemic situation. I was left with no option but to quit. My character graph was turning stagnant, there were no inputs coming in from the creative team. At times I used to feel extremely frustrated that what I am doing here. I didn't want to pressurize myself mentally any further. After those gaps I found myself feeling more humiliated and dejected as I was going nowhere with my character, I used to feel am I even a part of the show or not?"

"The balance in female-oriented shows with their career and other characters was not happening. I tried a lot to have my say to the makers. However, in comparison to the whole span of my character, I had more scenes in the lockdown (outdoor shoot) but that was all about it. Pramod has been one of the most loved characters on-screen presently. But I couldn't be patient anymore hoping for a change," he added.

Paras is quite grateful to his fans who adored him, "I tried a lot to not quit, but I had to take this decision. Pramod has become an impactful character and I am sure whenever Kaatelal and Sons will be remembered, Pramod shall be reminded as well."
