TellyChakkar was the first to report that Gaurav Bajaj, currently seen in Palkon ki Chaon Mein was finalised to play the lead in Ekta Kapoor’s Desi Twilight. But now the buzz doing the rounds is Emotional Atyachar host, Vivan Bhatena has replaced him. According to sources, Kapoor was not too happy with the earlier choice and was keen on casting someone else. Vivian Dsena who was seen in Balaji’s Kasamh Se was another name being looked at. But finally it came down to Vivan. Our source from the show adds, “Yes, Vivan has been shortlisted by the production house. In fact, Balaji is very keen on casting him but Vivan’s approval is awaited. Along with this, some major changes have taken place in the creative team of Fanaa. Meanwhile it is also buzzed that one of the creatives has quit and now an actor who has previously worked with Balaji will be the acting creative head for the show. Ekta was not happy with the way things were going since no right face was being found for the lead role. Auditions for the lead role of Piya are still on. Ekta is looking for a fresh face. Vivian Dsena was also approached to play the role of Abhay however; it was finally Vivan who was shortlisted and in all probabilities he will be doing the role.” Our source also informed us that the working title of the show ‘Fanaa’ is likely to be changed in the near future and things regarding the title are still being worked out. When contacted Bhatena said, “I have been approached for the show but things have not been finalised yet.” This spells more delay for the show that was to be launched in the first week of June.
