Gaurav Mukesh's take on 'friendship'

Gaurav Mukesh

Actor Gaurav Mukesh who essays the role of Sharad in Star Plus’ show Suhani Si Ek Ladki (Panorama Entertainment) values his friends more than anything else!!

Just like his real self, his character in the show is also layered around friendship.

Gaurav believes that true friends really exist. “Definitely, a person needs to have few people around him with whom he can share even things that he cannot talk before his parents. Yes, such people are not available in huge numbers; there can be only a handful of them. I believe that the one who is with you in times of your sorrow is your real friend. A friend is the one who can understand your tone of talk and realize you are in pain or in grief. And yes, I am happy that I have got few friends like this.”

Is it really tough to get such friends in this materialistic world? “Yes, times have changed and people’s perceptions have changed. But we still are in an era where we eat only through our mouth. Everything depends upon the upbringing, and if you are bound firmly by virtues, you will value people.”

Tell us about your 4 AM friends? “I have few friends from outside the industry who always support me and motivate me. In the industry, Shashank Vyas is a dear friend. We have been together from our days of struggle. He got work first and established himself as an actor. However, he stood to be my motivation. Even today, he is not a changed man for me.”

He continues, “Also, I am very close to Rajoshi Vidyarthi who plays our maa in the show and also with Rajshri Rani and Leenesh Mattoo.”

Well, your association with Rajshri has also opened up rumour gates about you dating her in real life. “Yes, and that is courtesy her husband, and we all know it. Rajoshi, Leenesh and I have been Rajshri’s pillar of support during her tough moments. And we have broken the ice and have bonded really well. Again, I reiterate that the one who helps when the going is tough is for real the friend. Rajshri and I are not just friends; we are very very close friends.”

Lastly, as per Gaurav, friendship is a give and take phenomenon of showering love and unconditional support. “You will reap what you sow. So be good and do good.”

Gaurav, three cheers to your friendship!!
