Colors’ newest offering, Shakti... Astitva Ke Ahsaas Ki (Rashmi Sharma Productions) is all set to welcome its lead faces with the much-awaited leap happening in tonight’s (16 June) telecast. 

And with it, viewers will see the two little girls Soumya and Surbhi growing up, blossoming into two very pretty girls. While popular actress Rubina Dilaik will stage her comeback to TV in the role of Soumya, the role of Surbhi will be played by Roshni Sahota. 

The post leap story line will open up tonight with the two girls enjoying the limelight at a family wedding, when Soumya (Rubina) being blamed for a jewelry theft at the wedding. With the family facing quite a lot of humiliation, Nimmi (Reena Kapoor) will be seen walking out of the wedding with her family.

Here, the audience will be exposed to two girls, very different and separated in their thought process and reasoning sense. While Soumya after being subjected to a lot of discrimination at the hands of her father and grand mother, would have grown to be a very timid, under confident and silent girl, her younger sister Surbhi (Roshni) will be the very outspoken, free-thinking independent individual who would not shy away from calling a spade a spade. 

While Soumya will simply walk out of the wedding hall after taking all the accusations, Surbhi will be seen rebelling and revolting in support of her sister. After being brought up by her mother with the thought of always being protective towards her sister, Surbhi would always stand up for Soumya, even if it meant going against her own family. 

Will Surbhi be able to save Soumya from this situation?

Well, the very first episode of Shakti post the leap will bring in high-voltage drama. 

If sources are to be believed, Surbhi will be seen confronting her entire family in support of her sister.
