TellyChakkar.com was the first to report on Gajendra Singh coming up with his first fiction show on Sahara One. But here’s some more information on the man who made a mark as a producer of music reality shows, talent hunts and formats such as Antakshari and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Furthermore, it has been reported that Gajendra is not only launching a fiction show, but he is all also coming up with another singing reality show, titled Sur-Kshetra, on the same channel. The latest we gather is that Sur-Kshetra will be shot in Dubai and it will have its grand finale in London. Furthermore, the makers of the show have roped in composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya and crooner Atif Aslam, who will represent India and Pakistan as the captains of their respective teams. They will train their contestants to battle it out, however, they won’t be judging the contestants. In fact, there will be a jury of talented singers from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to judge the contestants purely based on their talent. The voting system like the other reality shows too has been deleted from this particular show. A source informed us that Dubai was chosen as the shooting destination in order to avoid any kind of controversies. However, Suresh Mishra Asst. Director (Worker), Sahara One, has a different story to tell. “We wanted this to be a fair war of music and if we had to conduct it in India or Pakistan the results could have been biased. However, now that the show is being shot in a third country, it is fair to one and all.” Smart move, we must say. For information, auditions for the show will start from 24December, 2011 in six cities in India and three cities in Pakistan. Finally, six singers will be chosen from Pakistan to be a part of Atif’s team and another six will be selected from India to hold the mike from Himmesh’s side. An elated Gajendra Singh (founder and MD of Saaibaba Telefilms) goes on to say, “Music has always inspired me to explore new avenues.
