A page from the personal diary of Shikha Singh Hello everyone this is Shikha Singh, Miss Chandigarh of 2006. I graduated in Economics from Chandigarh. I am here to reveal some of the most beautiful moments of my life. I grew up in Chandigarh with two sisters and one brother. My siblings have all got married and as they have kids so my whole house gets crowded with their tiny feet. Getting into acting as profession was purely accidental which I will cherish for rest of my life. It happened to be like I and my friends thought of giving an audition in Chandigarh and among 20 girls only 2 got selected of which I was one of them. This is how my stint with camera began. Personally, I am a very family oriented girl and believe that love and teachings of my loved ones have brought me here. I consider my mother to be very strict but I love when she praises me behind my back. I still remember after my first appearance on TV when I returned to Chandigarh to meet my parents, the whole neighborhood gathered to meet me and my mother was the one who took them all to show my trophies and praised me with all the words she had in her dictionary. My mother’s appreciation means a lot to me, her “okay” means my performance was good because she hardly says anything good about me and it’s her blessings that make things easier for me. I would like to add one more special moment which I shared with my father. When I was in standard 10, I was elected for national level basketball team and more than I could ever imagine my father praised me. Even in this scenario the whole credit goes to my father just because he was the only one who pushed me in sports and motivated me in achieving goals. My profession separated me from my lovely parents and that is something I feel sad about but thanks to technology which keeps me in touch with them. I am a very present minded girl who believes in living life today, and not worry about future which you haven’t seen. For me achievements make my day only if they bring smile on my family’s face. So people… this is Shikha Singh, your sexy dacoit from ‘Na Aana Iss Des Laado’ taking your leave. Hope even you guys keep your parents on top of everything because they are your sole well-wishers in this filthy outside world. From my side I will make sure that I entertain you completely in the future.
