Sharing their birthdays with that of veteran actor Dilip Kumar today (11 December) are four television celebrities. They are the macho men of CID Dayanand Shetty and Hrishikesh Pandey. Also celebrating their birthdays are actor-director Parmeet Sethi and charming Gaurav Khanna (last seen in Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka). Let’s find out how they are celebrating the special day. Said Gaurav, “Right now, I am with my family in my hometown Kanpur. And you know what I am celebrating my birthday along with my family after ten long years. It’s a lovely weather out here and I am treating myself with yummy homemade food. I am going to chill the entire day today and have a good time with my family. I have been travelling a lot these days with them and have many more places to visit in the coming days. When I come back to Mumbai, I will have to treat all my good friends.” Any birthday gifts that have you received? “Well, I am blessed to have lovely fans and guess what they have sent me gifts at my Kanpur address. I am truly touched and happy,” he adds. How do you feel on getting on a year older today? “It is just another day for me. In fact, I feel lazy but love the pampering which I am getting on this day,” he quips. Later when we got in touch with Dayanand, he shared, “It’s a working birthday for me. In fact, I like to work on my birthday. My cast and crew surprised me with a birthday cake which was really sweet of them. And since I have to shoot till late night, I haven’t planned anything yet. Before I hang up I would want to thank my fans for their never dying love and support.” Averred Hrishikesh, “Along with my birthday, we are also celebrating that of Daya Sir. And we were indeed surprised when the CID team surprised both of us with a cake. From the last few years I am shooting on my birthday and in a way I enjoy it. Every year, we have fans from all round the world coming to wish Daya sir and me on our birthdays. I think this is the best gift that one can ever ask for. God has really been kind but I have a wish to meet Dilip Kumar once as we share our birthday. Hope I can fulfill my wish.” Lastly, when we called Parmeet, he sounded upset and said that he is not celebrating his birthday as he lost his mother a month ago.
