Today, on the 67th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we need to call an end to the nuclear experiment. At 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing around 140,000 people. The death toll included men, women and children who died instantaneously, and thousands who died within months from the lingering radiation sickness. The U.S. attack on Nagasaki three days later took the lives of 75,000 more. We, at Tellychakkar.com, decided to talk to some of the TV celebs and ask them what are their feelings and opinions about this ominous day in the history of human civilization. TV heartthrob Karan Tacker, who is seen in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai as Viren said, “This certainly is the saddest story in history ever. It was shock factor for all the people in Japan. The nuclear attack destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki and killed many innocent people because of human brutality. This is very disheartening and should not happen again. I pray to God that such kind of weapons will never be used again in future.” Lovely lady Kavita Kaushik, better known as Chandramukhi Chautala of SAB TV’s F.I.R, shared, “I am against all kind weapons and bombs. It should be banned. I understand that weapons are made for safety of a country. But now they are used only to destroy innocent human lives. They are only meant for the purpose of destruction. We are living in an era of machine. If this continues then one day then civilization will come to an end. So I would suggest everyone to bring world peace and spread love and say no to war.” We got in touch with Mini Mathur, who is currently hosting the singing reality show Indian Idol. Said Mini, “Everybody knows about this incident. It was the greatest act of brutality in the history of the world. In the attack many people died. Radiation effects are still felt in the citizens. Every country will make nuclear bomb for its safety, but at the end human lives are put at stake. Today, we should remember all those who died in the incident and pledge to stop the menace of nuclear warfare.” Finally, we got in touch with Sameer Kochhar who is seen in Bade Acche Lagte Hain, “It’s a black day. The bombings shook the entire world. Man doesn’t have any rights to do such destructive activities. Weapons should be used in a right way. There is no need to wedge a war. This won’t lead to anything or benefit the mankind in any ways. Now, technology is becoming so powerful and advanced that it should be used in a better way. No Hiroshima.
