A page from the personal diary of Ruchi Savarn Hello everyone, this is Ruchi Savarn, whom you are presently seeing as Devika in Ghar Aaja Pardesi on Sahara One. My father is a scientist and mother a writer. Writing always came naturally to me but it was the passion of acting that overtook me. I spent half of my life in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, after which I went over to Delhi to complete my post graduation course. Presently, I am in Mumbai to earn name, fame and money. Having started my career as an assistant director for a production house, I later started producing shows too. Then, I started acting in television shows like Pyaar Ka Bandhan on Sony Entertainment Television, Tere Liye on Star Plus and now Ghar Aaja Pardesi on Sahara One. This whole industry is a big institution on its own and I, as a learner, see to it that I imbibe knowledge out of every single work that I do. For me, the people with whom I work are like a blessing, specially the producer and the director. I was a dancer in my college and was a very bright student with active participation in extracurricular activities. Since my keen interest was in singing and dancing, I had not planned acting; it happened accidentally. Dancing helped me to grow my acting skills since dancing is empty without expression. This is how I explored this talent of mine. Here, I would like to add that in my childhood, I was never scared of insects because my father is an agro-scientist and he does experiment on insects and I have grown-up seeing them. But, now all of sudden I have developed a fear for them. Slowly the phobia has taken over me. I think that this is enough for the day. Guys, I will be back soon with some more interesting stuff of my life. Till then, take care and enjoy.
