I am a mix of my characters Rashmi and Dhara in real life - Tejaswi Welingkar

Tejaswi Welingkar
Tejaswi Welingkar who essays the role of the bubbly Dhara in Colors’ Sanskaar Dharohar Apnon Ki is excited to play such a lively character. Says the actor, “I have been given a very good narrative by the creative team. As of now, Dhara is the live-wire in the family, considering the fact that the Vaishnav family is still brooding over the demise of Bhoomi. She is the one who is adding the colors in the family. She is the one who is spreading the light and showing them the way to live.” So what does it take for Tejaswi to play this energetic and bubbly character? “Well, that is a challenge in itself. The character is like a spark and she keeps bustling always. And there is no room for complacency anywhere. Though I have had a small share of emotional scenes with the Vaishnav family, I need to be on a high when it comes to my energy level always to get into the character.” What kind of a feedback has the actor got from her fans, considering the fact that she is the third actor (after Shamin Mannan and Kadambari Kadam) as the main lead in the show? “Aah, the response has been really good. But I am happy that I have got on board as a new character and lead. The creative team has etched a very beautiful character, and I am happy playing my part as I will have variations to play as the story moves on.” So how is Tejaswi in real life – is she more like Dhara or Rashmi, the character she played in Life OK’s 26-12? “I am a mix of Rashmi and Dhara is what I would say. I am very mature as Rashmi is, but I will not think and react as she does. Dhara is more of a person who will react spontaneously, without thinking much.” Tejaswi, hope you have a great stint with Sanskaar!!!
