After a long hiatus, television’s much loved Chhoti Bahu aka Rubina Dilaik is all set to return to the GEC space with Colors’ new venture Shakti (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms).

Naturally, fans of the young lady are much happy about the fact and so are we.

Before she makes her appearance in her show as Saumya, we caught up with the pretty woman, who said that she believes that she has some cosmic connection with Shakti.

Let’s hear it directly from the lady.

“During my long break I have been receiving offers for many projects, but somehow those didn’t work out. Finally, I got a call in last December for Shakti. Even after that I was in talks for other projects. But, every time I was geared up to sign a contract, I used to get a call from Rashmi Sharma Telefilms asking me to meet them and decide about the project. After a certain period of time, I actually started believing that I have some connection with this serial and many won’t believe that I have left almost ten shows to take up Shakti.”

While the television space is being ruled by dayaans and naagins, we asked Rubina how she will react if her show meets the same fate. Rubina in her usual calm mentioned, “I believe Rashmi Sharma has a visionary which no one possesses. Naagins are ruling the small screen now, which was initiated by Rashmi ji only. Hence, I won’t mind playing some supernatural character in future and I am really open to portraying such roles.”

For the uninitiated her debut show, Chhoti Bahu, has been revamped and is being shown on another channel. Visibly excited about the same, Rubina commented, “I am blessed that I was associated with Chhoti Bahu and the popularity that it reached can never be achieved by other shows, not even Shakti. When I began with Chhoti Bahu I had the passion of proving my worth to the world and I learnt every single thing about the industry. Naturally, the serial not only became one of the best shows of my career but I got emotionally attached to the project as well.”

We do understand your sentiments Rubina.

Before signing off Rubina also shared that she would love to do a project with her boyfriend Abhinav someday.
