Indian Idol (FremantleMedia India) can be said to be the pioneer when it comes to the growth and success of singing reality shows in this country. And the series is all set to spread melody with its sixth season. Yes, you guys can put your hands in the air as Indian Idol season 6 will soon storm your television screens. And guess what? This year it promises to be bigger and better. Now, one cannot but talk about Indian Idol without mentioning the name of the master of notes, Anu Malik. The guru of music, he is all set to don the mantle of the judge in the latest season as well. “This time there will be six vans going in different states and cities. We will cover not only metros but also the interior parts of the country in order to give opportunity to aspiring singers. If someone cannot make it to the auditions, then there is no need to worry as one can submit their Hindi numbers on www.myindianidol.com,” shared Anu. He further said that the aim is to find singers who can sing for every composer in India. We couldn’t agree more, Anu. So what does he think about the mushrooming of so many singers in the country? “No one is sidelined as all the top singers have created a niche for themselves. There was an era where there were only five singers and now there are 5000 of them. There is abundance of creativity in the industry,” he said. He proudly went on to call himself as the “face of Indian Idol” as he has been the judge from the first season. “I have had a great relationship with Sony Entertainment Television. My hard work has paid off and I have been the only honest judge on the show,” he smiled. Anu, we hope that you enjoy your stint in Indian Idol. And before ending, he also informed, “I am also composing the scores of Firoz Nadiawala’s upcoming flick Hera Pheri 4. Expect some great music.” Anu, there’s only one thing we have to say, “You rock.”
