I have never played God in my career and I wanted to know how it feels to play one - Hiten Tejwani

Hiten Tejwani
Talented actor Hiten Tejwani will now experience what it takes to be God!! And that is the main reason why the actor took up the cameo role of Lord Krishna in Colors’ Sanskaar- Dharohar Apnon Ki (Anahita / Cinematra Productions). As per the story line, his character will come in as the saviour of Jay (Jay Soni) and Dhara (Tejasvi Welingkar) when they would be trying to escape from the goons with the idol of Lord Krishna. Hiten in his Godly avatar will then help them reach the temple on time, before Chandrika and others break down the temple. His character will be similar to that of Akshay Kumar in Oh My God. For the matter of fact, Hiten’s cameo role in Sanskaar opened up yesterday night. In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the talented actor told us, “I have never played God and I wanted to know how it feels to play one. Moreover, it is definitely a different role, where nothing can go wrong. There is no negativity around when Lord Krishna is there, and I get a chance to do positive scenes.” Talking about adjusting dates from his ongoing stints in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta and Life OK’s Savdhan India (where he hosts), Hiten said, “Well, I had little time on my hand. And this role was a cameo and it perfectly suited the bill. My character in the show will go on for a while I guess, though I have not got a clear brief.” On getting associated with Colors and also with the Producers, the actor remarked, “Yes, it was a chance to associate with Colors. The cast and crew are lovely people, and I know half of them personally. They were very friendly and warm. Arunaji (Irani) is a close friend out there. Also, I have earlier worked with Swapnaji (Waghmare Joshi) as she had directed my serials Kutumb and Rang Badalti Odhani. It feels nice to be working with her again.” Hiten who has earlier portrayed the role of Karna in Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Humaarey Mahaabharat Ki said, “Yes, the two characters which have been close to my heart are Karna and Krishna. After essaying Karna in Mahabhaarat, I grabbed the opportunity of playing Krishna through Sanskaar.” Hiten will be seen as a normal human being, coming in to save Jay and Dhara. “I do not think I will be needed to wear the costume of Krishna. As far as I know, I will be seen as a normal man, but the dialogues I have been given will be the catch point. They will indicate to the audience that he is God Krishna himself.” Have a great time shooting for Sanskaar, Hiten!!!
