I have never understood the concept of TRPs –Samaira Rao

Samaira Rao
Wondering where the pretty damsel Samaira Rao vanished post her show Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage on Sony TV? Well, the talented lady is right here answering this query. “After my Sony TV show wrapped up early this year, I took a break and went back home to Delhi and spent quality time with family and friends. I also worked on myself. Now that I have recharged my batteries, I am back to the groove. Accordingly, I have been giving auditions, but there is nothing to talk about till things actually fall in place.” So what are the roles that she is looking at? “Realistically, I know that I really cannot expect something completely out of the box. Television has a certain graph and I will have to be satisfied with something meaty within that space.” Talking about how Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage shutting down, Samaira says, “I was quite disappointed for the production house (Sphere Origins) did not bother to inform us that they were ending the show. We only came to know at the last minute.” Getting defensive about her earlier show, Samaira quickly states, “Wherever I went people appreciated our efforts. Honestly I never really have understood the concept of TRPs. It is not only about Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage . Even other very good shows like Saraswatichandra don’t rate despite being so popular, what more can I say?” In closing Samaira adds that she is in touch with most co- stars of Love Marriage …“I am in touch with Raju Kher (played her dad) and Himmanshoo (A Malhotra essayed her husband)”. However, she did not mention the name of her on- screen sister Rishika Mihani as the two never really got along. We wish you get back soon to the small screen, Samaira.
