"I indeed quit Hitler Didi... No one asked me to leave," vents Smita Singh

Now here comes a fiery response from actress Smita Singh. Okay…we will go step by step. Smita Singh, who played the role of Sunaina Bhabhi in Zee TV’s Hitler Didi, went on to voice out in media that she has not been paid by the production house (Trilogy Krikos) for months. Later, when the show took a leap…she vanished from scheme of things. Now, yesterday (28 September 2012), we carried an article on Rohit Vaid, Founder and Managing Director, of Trilogi Krikos who stated that Smita was asked to leave the show after the entire “not being paid” fiasco.
Smita, read the article and in response, shared this with us, “I had indeed quit Hitler Didi. No one asked me to leave. You guys (Tellychakkar) broke the story which said ‘I wanted to quit as I was not happy with the leap’, then how can they fire me if I wanted to move on? This argument does not make logical sense.” She further continued, “Furthermore, if my track was not working, as Rohit said, why I got a call from top Zee bosses asking for a possible return.” Smita better known as Punpunwali (Bhagyavidhaata) also stood firm on her argument that Hitler Didi actors have not been paid. “My last four months dues are still pending. I have got dozens of messages from them saying that I will be paid soon. Even co- artist Abhinav Shukla, Mrunal Jain, Shabnam Sayeed, amongst others, have not been paid as well. Here I am trying to be civil and trying to settle the issue amicably and instead of appreciating my restraint this bankrupt production house (they told me they had no money) talks rubbish about the most popular character in this Zee TV show. I am right and can invoke CINTAA’s help to demand my fruits of hard work. What will they do then? ” In closing, Smita averred, “I have no problems with Zee for they have been darlings and have really helped me a lot during this crisis. I just hope and pray that I recover my dues soon after which I will take a pilgrimage to the Ganga.” This is some serious exchange of words. Let’s see what boils down in the future…
