Life has come a full circle for actor Nirmal Soni. At the inception of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2008, he was part of the show as Dr. Hathi.

Exactly after ten years, he has reentered the show to play the same character.

The sad demise of Kavi Kumar Azaad has left a major void in the show. Taarak Mehta was incomplete without Dr. Hathi. Although the unit still mourns the loss of its dear friend and team member, the show must go on.

Says Nirmal Soni, ‘Life is a circle and I feel extremely happy to be a part of this show again after a decade and meet all my co-artists. The entire team has been so supportive and co-operative. I’m happy that I got the opportunity to play Dr. Haathi’s character again after 10 years. It is incredible to see Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah running so strongly and I am grateful to its creator and producer Asit Modi for reconsidering me.'’

Nirmal will make his entry during the Ganpati track. Due to floods, Gokuldham members are unable to bring Bappa to the society. Everyone is unhappy. Just then, Dr. Hathi wades through the water with a Ganpati idol on his head. All the members are joyous about this double treat.
