I want to take up a show like Jhalak to show my dancing abilities - Kushal Punjabi

Kushal Punjabi

Kushal Punjabi is one actor who likes to strike the right balance between his visibility and absence on the small screen as well as the 70 mm.

Yes, the actor who is currently busy with script writing does not believe in taking up long running daily soaps for according to him that hardly leaves one with any space to explore more.

In his professional life Kushal has managed to discover a good deal having worked on TV shows, films, script writing and more.

He also has a couple of projects in the pipeline which includes his TV show Time Machine (Epic Channel), Prakash Jha’s upcoming film Parivar Times (the script of this film is written by Kushal) and his second film script.

“I have some good work with me and I do not want to take up anything too long, for then you start stagnating. Instead I’d take up a show like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,” states the actor.

He further goes on to add, “But that’s not the case with everyone who is doing a daily soap. Drashti Dhami (Madhubala fame) and I worked as the lead pair in the TV show Antariksh and today when I look at her work, I feel really happy. She managed to participate in Jhalak and now she is hosting it.”

What do you want to do next? “I want to direct having worked in international and other TV projects, films and theaters. I also have a lot of dancing experience and this knowledge has to be used someday somewhere (smiles).”

We wish you luck with your future endeavor.
