Ami Trivedi is a well known television actress. She has given good performances in shows like Khichdi, Kituu Sab Janti Hai, Raakhi- Atoot Rishtey Ki Dor and Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo. Apart from that, she was also seen in SAB TV’s Papad Pol essaying the character of Kokila Ben. “The series was on air for a good time of year and a half. I will not say that we lost ratings as such, but because of IPL, the sitcom went off air,” Ami tells Tellychakkar.com. Incidentally, she will be soon seen in a comedy show in April, around the same time as annual 20/20 cricket event. But Ami is not fearful, “Well, we are only actors and our job is to put in our best so why bother about things which don’t concern us.” While Ami tells us that she loves to bring a smile on people’s face through her comedy, she is not willing to talk about her upcoming project. “I am quite superstitious about these things and prefer to talk about it only when the show goes on air,” says the actress. Just recently, Ami had participated in Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan on Imagine: “I had lots of fun. I never thought that I could dance. The fact that I tied in the first round with Jasveer Kaur who is such a good dancer has made me proud,” she says of her experience. But she has no regrets of not winning the above title. “ I just had a good time and learnt a new craft. What more can I ask for?” With the festival of colors, Holi, just around the corner, TV industry is surely planning for a bash, but Ami likes to spend time with her family. She has, in fact, never really tried to splash herself all over the page 3. “I get many invites for Holi parties, but I rather spend quality time with my family.” And though the industry she is part of believes that out of sight is out of mind, the petite actress has a different take on it. “I rather believe in letting my work speak for itself,” she ends.
